Truly, Jennifer Behr’s collection has it all: Her spring line is stocked with crystals set in dark metal and hand-stitched to ethereal silk chiffons, braided ropes, slick patent leathers and tough studs. But in contrast, her bridal collection is demure, sweet and perfectly classic. Hmm, the dichotomy of every city bride. You’ve got to love that.
The line has been a big hit with the celebrity elite {Lady Gaga wore the standing lace tiara- as a mask - to an event last month} and bridal editors remain equally {and understandably} smitten season to season. Even if the pieces aren’t your go-to wedding day style, they’re sure to strike a chord somewhere in your styling repertoire.
The Jennifer Behr collection is made by hand in her studio and within a network of small workshops in Brooklyn and Manhattan. The line is sold at Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, and my favorite little boutique extraordinaire, Colette in Paris.
